How the F are anime rips always on the cutting edge of codecs? I just noticed a show I'm watching is encoded in AV1... it's not even a brand new show. It aired in 2008. Someone just decided to reencode it.
@alyx seems easy enough to recode stuff. A lot of otakus are also geeks.
