Question for the Linux experts: what takes longer to compile, your average Linux kernel, or the average Firefox/Chromium browser?

@alyx@gameliberty.club imagine people are avoiding to compile browsers while they're fine with compiling the kernel, really. Chromium is the worst of the worst to compile and then Firefox comes next

I made the mistake of searching how long people will take on a browser compile. Found reddit thread, guy spent literally half a day compiling on a dual core i5 laptop.
