so... when i last tried to main gentoo (disn't get past the point of being properly installed lol) i said to myself: ok this was painful and this trial will basically convince my brain to never try gentoo again if i feel like it.
.. and now in the meantime people started bullying me to use gentoo and other stuff happening

Don't listen to the morons. If someone else wants to torture themselves over nothing, let them. Use whatever works for you and actually brings you some benefit. If there's benefit in using Windows, use Windows. If there's benefit in using Ubuntu, use Ubuntu. If there's benefit in using Arch, use Arch, etc.
If there's no benefit in using Gentoo, then tell everyone else to go fuck themselves and stick with whatever works for you.
There is no "best" OS, ever. There's the "best" for your needs. And it doesn't sound like you need Gentoo.
