In Windows we have System Restore that restores your computer to the previous restore point. Any program installed after the restore point is removed. User data is kept intact.

Do we have a similar functionality on Linux?

Works best with BTRFS. It saved my dumbass a few times already, although it's usually been a case of just copying a few files over from a snapshot, and not a full restore.
