This is one of those weird things of modern global politics, what exactly moves so many people in Berlin to protest a war that has nothing to do with Germany? I guess what I would like to understand is, are all these people actually asking something of the German government, like more material support for Ukraine and more economic policies to punish Russia, or do they just feel really angry at Russia and tweeting is not doing it for them anymore, they felt like they need to go tweet IRL

It's the same type of moronic virtue signalling that gave rise to a BLM movement in UK.

Your local context has NOTHING to do with what you're protesting, and as such your protesting literally can't change anything, but you still need to show the world that you're against bad things and for good things.
