Is this a new thing Windows does now? Copying from a NTFS to exFAT.

@alyx

It's saving you from LibreOffice. Let it do its blessed work.

@amerika
It did the same for other files too.
I'm guessing it's cause NTFS has some permission/ownership properties associated to files, and exFAT doesn't. So you lose that when copying over, but this notification is a new behavior as far as I can tell.

@alyx i've never seen this before, but it makes sense.
@alyx i give the message a 2/10 because i only know what it means because i already know how computers work and otherwise i wouldn't know what the fuck "can't copy its properties" means

@icedquinn
I'm just surprised that Windows added this warning. Don't remember ever seeing it. Although, to be fair, it's not like I've been using Windows much lately.

@mr64bit
Haven't used Windows for a while, this is the first time I've noticed this. I've used Win10 plenty years ago, so I doubt it was introduced with its launch, but somewhere along the way.

@alyx By "forever", I mean it's been around almost as long as NTFS itself, so almost 30 years. The message has probably changed a bit over time, but I'm pretty sure you'd get that exact same message back to XP.
