Since fucking when? We seriously need an historian to track when the hell "tolerate" suddenly turned to "respect".
Back when I was growing up everything was about tolerance. That was the virtue of the day. Then I'm not sure how and when, we suddenly needed to not only respect everyone, but praise and worship every fucking degenerate that crawled from under a stone.
I have a lot of patience and appreciation for certain communities, but I can feel myself drawing closer to "burn the gays off the face of the earth" with each passing day.

First it was tolerance, then it turned into acceptance and inclusivity, and now it's affirmation and respect.
