Oddly enough my first exposure to Linux was with Damn Small Linux. A magazine released a live CD back in 2004. It was a fun experience but I wasn't attracted obviously.
@mian First time I used Linux was in autumn 2010, first time I heard of it was probably around 2004. I do remember seeing a Ubuntu live CD in a computer repair store once, but I remember already knowing Linux was a thing before that.
