It's things like this that tell me Twitter has completely butchered whatever algorithm they made that drives their trending topics. I promise you GamerGate isn't actually trending right now, this is a case of the algorithm glitching like crazy, like it did with Kyle Rittenhouse yesterday.
@alyx @s8n it's probably a tag that's mentioned a lot within mutual followers' conversations. Same thing with the "Flamenco" thing. It's something that's "trending" within your group.
