I initially though that the whole "let's reduce gadget waste by making people reuse their chargers" was a good idea. But honestly, these things do break. And if, like me, you don't actually buy a new phone every year, or even two years, you can find yourself in a situation where you simply no longer have a surplus of chargers anymore, and are grateful that you had a stockpile to begin with.
And that's not even considering the problem of modern manufacturers implementing fast charging in god knows how many ways, that god knows if any of them are compatible with each other. I'm honestly grateful that my phone is old enough that I don't deal with that. But if you made your phone with fast charging, as a manufacturer I think you're pretty much obligated to give out a proper charger for the phone.
