Cornbread is a peculiar cat.
He prefers the cat litter that smells nice over the unscented kind.
I have to wash his blanket every 4-7 days because the smell from the laundry detergent has faded. It's not that it's dirty. Even if I flip it over and rearrange it so he's on a part he's never lied on (top or bottom) he still doesn't like it because the scent of Tide has faded.
That was the case last night. He couldn't get comfortable in his bed so I flipped the blanket and changed the position to where he was on a part he hadn't used and I could still smell a little hint of Tide. That helped and he did go to sleep on it but when I awoke this morning I discovered that in the middle of the night he ended up sleeping on my pile of dirt cloths. So I'm washing his blanket this morning (just put it in the dryer).
This flies in the face of what people say about cats and how they perceive smells. Then again, Cornbread isn't like most cats, he's Cornbread :cornbread_going_goblin_mode:
