TBH, it's probably gonna be a good test, to prove once and for all if women have what it takes to not start a Mean Girls drama fight when left alone.

Men made it to the Moon and back, with far more primitive equipment, less avenues to relieve stress, and even managed the crisis on Apollo 13.
Let's see what women can do, in what would be luxury conditions by comparison.

I approve. In fact, I think the Huston control crew should also be female only. Let's really test this.

1.5 years is a vastly more challenging task than 8 days :ChenShrug:

but I agree. it might be best to send married couples in their 40s :thinking_cirno:

Not really. The complicated bits are departing and arriving. Everything in between, you basically could sleep away.
Which is why hibernation is so popular in sci-fi. Because NO ONE wants to watch a 2 hour movie about astronauts eating 3 meals a day and doing repetitive tasks.

Sure, NASA will have them doing tedious repetitive experiments, to use up some of that time, but none of it will be any different than what regularly happens on the ISS.
