I've been seriously considering getting an mp3 player, because that's all I actually really care to have while I'm out, but I just can't be fucked going back to cables, especially if it means not using bone conduction.
On the flipside bluetooth is shit and a potential attack vector. Galaxy-brain idea: Build mp3 player into the headset. This should not be difficult, and as long as I don't fill it up with rubbish I don't actually need much more than play/pause, next, previous and volume. 🤔

I never tried any, but it was my understanding that their sound quality isn't that great, and they're worth it only if you have outer ear problems.
@alyx @fuggy @histoire I cannot tell a single difference. Probably my ears never worked properly in the first place.
But it works flawlessly for general use, I can just tune in and out easily and chat to people. It's actually -worse- for riding than in-ear stuff because most earplugs suck. If I can find one good pair of earplugs that'll fix that.
