I saw the post earlier... they're using the word wrong.

They're doing the same thing as they've done with so many words.
They're watering down the impact of the word "consent" until it becomes meaningless.

Again, I understand why you think that. I've just seen some of this crap before in hippie context. They're just trying to spruce up the language, and appear more "academic" and "scientific" by adding fancy words like "consent".
Don't get me wrong, this approach of raising kids, of "you should listen to what the kids wants" is still foolish, and leads to problems.
