Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. We don't know what has happened, but all possibilities are open and we are in contact with NATO. This is nearing 7 hours after the complete outage. If it was something technical they would know immediately

@BasedLunatic
If it is a cyberattack, who would be the most likely culprit? Who would be more of a threat/enemy to Spain?

@alyx I have no idea. It may be something technical. I just don't understand how they can't know, now it's nearing 8 hours what happened
@BasedLunatic @alyx
There is rumor that it was a solar event that knocked out power.
@alyx @Jonny they just explained from the energy agency of Spain that the reason for the 0 level capacity reached was because of a break from Spain from rest of Europe in the interconnected system causing the Spanish electricity system to not be able to provide energy. The way they are recovering is by starting up domestic energy systems to recompensate from the drop between Europe via France of energy. No explanation now nearing 9 hours why it happened

@BasedLunatic @Jonny
Right now I think the answer will either be the equivalent of the Evergreen ship thing, where some electrical engineer had a hissy fit and decided to take it out on the world; or it was some kind of intentional foreign state attack, in which case the government will never come out and say it directly, as to not cause panic.
