@BroDrillard I could only find a vague statement about "online harassment" she experienced and that she had multiple mental problems. BPD, depression, even supposedly autism
I couldn't find any big controversies or reason why there even would have been a targeted campaign. Does anyone know?
From what I understand, at least one factory fur farm was worried about her rescue operation and how much reach she had posting videos of her animals. They astroturfed some subreddits to talk shit about her personally and to accuse her rescue of being illegal, inhumane, and evil day in and day out, and pushed this shit to the front page of reddit so it got talked about in her comments and shown to her a lot and she couldn't ignore it. Her mental illnesses made her an easy target.

Seems a bit far-fetched, but remember the Tiger King guy? Busted for trying to hire a hitman to take down a lady who just said online that he didn't take good care of his animals (he didn't). People who make bank off mistreating animals have no qualms about mistreating people who point out they are mistreating their animals.

I really hate the world sometimes. Part of me is upset that I don't control all the nuclear weapons on Earth, and part of me is thankful, cause I'm not sure what would be left standing.
