I know multi-cultural societies work, because at school as a kid I have been bullied by members of all these cultures. 
@xyfdi Lack of trust and empathy is a symptom of it, so quite clearly it's working

@applejack Pretty much, as a rivethead hanging around in the goth seen I've seen enough not reappearing due a successful suicide attempt. Even lost an ex-GF to one.
@applejack I think being alone and without friends for a large chunk of my youth created somewhat a loner out of me.
