Either way, Russians and Japanese are just assholes with their alphabet.
@LukeAlmighty @dave Russian is actually very phonetic. When you see a word you know how to pronounce it (excluding the stress, which you need to guess), so it's pretty easy
It took me just a few hours before I could completely ditch the chart and read it on my own, but it still took a few weeks to get comfortable in it. A new alphabet is really the easiest part of a language (unless it's Asian)
Japs are autistic exactly because they don't use an alphabet, but 2, and also hieroglyphics
