I found an average Twitter user in video form
>mostly one word or one sentence replies
>doesn't actually explain anything or make any actual claim

@matrix Deontology vs consequentialism is genuinely one of the simpler topics. It doesn't need a whole video
You can't get an ought from an if, so deontology is dumb. Even with god it's impossible. Why should you listen to god?
The ends justify the means because ends are actual physical things in reality while "means" are actions, verbs, concepts. Actions are only judgeable by what ends they create
You can only get a basis for what ends are desirable by what subjective ends you personally want because that's the only driver of action that actually exists in your head. Other people's needs and wants can't telepathically move your limbs
@matrix >it's that you are going to end up in hell otherwise
You listen to your dad so you don't get the belt but that's not very deontological
>However that mentality is usually used to justify anti social and self destructive behavior while ignoring or not realizing the hidden ends
I'd say both are used, what's actually true is still most important. Chasing shadows won't get you anywhere
