people using gook for Japs is kind of odd. Isn't "Jap" the slur? Or is it so normalized now that we have to use "gook" now, which used to be only for koreans?
@Morghur@teto Yeah the word for America in Korean is “miguk” so when Americans were rolling around in Korea the locals would go “miguk miguk!!!” So it sounded like “me gook” so we started calling them gooks.
