Knowing that Toriyama made up dragon ball as he went along, it's really awkward whenever I see db fans in comment sections writing elaborate theories about dragon ball lore to explain plotholes.
@bakubased I haven't seen/read one piece but I've heard that, and it intrigues me, especially for a series so long.
AoT is probably my favorite anime because it does that so well. I don't have a verdict on the ending yet (gotta see it animated with music) but I will say the very last scene was a good mindfuck. Anyways I love the details in the story. The way there's an undercurrent of events that you see hints of now and then, but you'll only notice on a rewatch. Now THAT'S a story you can construct lore-theories on because Isayama clearly has a story/message in mind.
