@coldacid it's funny, all the stuff I hear from working class people from my home town in Québec is 100% in full support of the truckers. I've seen very little francophone support for Trudeau (whether this is bias in favour of his father isn't entirely clear) and most of the people claiming it's "racist" are anglo.
Anyone who thinks that white = privilege in Canada has forgotten about the Acadians and Québecois.
@bakubased at least in that case, there at least seemed to be need for it (and had P. Trudeau and the rest of his cabinet gotten GOOD intel from the RCMP and Quebec government, probably wouldn't have used it). There has been NOTHING in these protests to warrant use of the Emergencies Act -- if COVID itself wasn't enough to warrant it, some "fringe minority" protesters honking horns and blocking streets sure isn't enough.
