also, on the note of infosec bullshit the infosec twitter community is so toxic it's almost funny, bullying and harassment are totally normalised, and some of the american ones are so gung ho about military force being an appropriate response to cybercrime it almost seems like a parody. It's kinda ridiculous having a debate about ethics when there's a guy who's openly endorsing extrajudicial execution for non-violent crimes and very few people appear to have a problem with it.
@evelyn even people who are usually very realistic and level headed will explode and think death or maiming is a good way of dealing with things they don't like, even "crimes" with no victim. Because they say they think with their brain but as soon as something gets to their heart they forget to do that.
