People have become so desensitized to violence. I don't mean that in the general libtard sense, but people vastly underestimate the danger of weapons. If someone has a knife the last thing you do is continue to approach them, this guy died foolishly.
@LouisConde I remember hearing about an FBI stat that you're even less likely to get robbed if you have a knife then if you have a gun

@Terry @LouisConde knives are much more dangerous at melee range than guns are. A stab and a slice will do so much more damage and you'll die a lot faster.

@beardalaxy @Terry @LouisConde

plus, unless your gun is already drawn or you're Jerry fucking Miculek, a motivated assailant with a melee weapon can close 20 feet before you're getting a round on target

@duke @beardalaxy @Terry @LouisConde If not more, if you’re given to “this can’t be happening, he’s probly just tryin’ t’ scare me he won’t stab me he won’t stab me there’s no way he’ll stab me-“

“he didn’t stab me…..there’s no way he really stabbed me”

@WashedOutGundamPilot @Terry @duke @LouisConde yeah if someone is "just trying to scare you" you better be "just trying to scare them" right back with a weapon of your own. Put the fear of God into em, most people don't actually want to die and if you have a weapon as well that's reason enough for someone to back off.

@beardalaxy @Terry @duke @LouisConde Well, yeah, but people are living in fantasy these days. One of the most common things you’ll hear working on an ambulance is “aw man, he really fuckin’ did it! I can’t believe it”. It’s like there’s a mental block, that they’re so unaccustomed to seeing death before their eyes, the avg. yankee just kind of assumes that the same rules of engagement are in effect everywhere.

A lesser form completely runs in the uppermidclass white collars, they’re so accustomed to “well if you get in a fight, you’ll be sued” that a punch to the head upends their entire life and gets them to talk about it for MONTHS.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @beardalaxy @Terry @duke @LouisConde Someone brought up a good point regarding death nowadays and how detached we've become from it. People die away from their families then straight to a closed casket. Then the understanding of death now has modern science has to assign data and commentary to everything in the hopes that when they have enough data they will have the answer to death and no one will die anymore. For some reason people can't die of old age, being heart broken, or not feeling useful.

@blaaablaaaa @beardalaxy @Terry @duke @LouisConde They can’t even handle animal death. They euthanize their dog for $1500 at the vet, and they’re allowed to wait in the hall and come in when it’s done.

When I have had sick animals, there’s often been some bleating about “well take it to the vet!” like uh, katherine? How about you go inside for a little while. I have to get the ‘vet’ out from behind the door

@WashedOutGundamPilot @blaaablaaaa @beardalaxy @Terry @duke @LouisConde Ive said goodbye to my dogs at the vet sure, but every pet euthanized I was present for until the last heartbeat, I don't understand how you can just step out on life's final moments.

Is it supposed to make you feel better if you don't say goodbye because you'd rather facefag in the waiting room? I don't think I could deal with that.
