and this is why playstation is starting to put their games on PC. they were way too arrogant without anything to back it up for way too long, meanwhile nintendo always has something incredibly unique and great games and microsoft has been killing it with backwards compatibility and shit like game pass. playstation's days are looking pretty numbered.
@TornadoOfTerror xboxes have been easier to find (and cheaper) and they have cemented themselves in the PC gaming space now pretty well, especially with the bethesda acquisition. plus, they make windows which i don't think will go away for a while, despite how much linux has improved in recent years.
and of course they have the whole game pass and backwards compatible stuff going on which makes owning an xbox system much, much more valuable than a PS5 (or even a switch depending on the user). i don't think xbox or MS for that matter is hurting at all.

@LordMordred @ferrarilegends @TornadoOfTerror i'm really talking about the xbox "brand/ecosystem" not necessarily the console. i think they probably saw the writing on the wall and started shifting gears as much as they could and a lot sooner than sony did. in fact, they may have somewhat caused consoles not being as highly valued as they once were by bringing a lot of stuff over to PC, effectively forcing playstation to either put out some bangers or die, which would lead to them needing PC games to subsidize them and that's just playing into an area where Microsoft can get more users too.
something worth noting is that xboxes can function as a pretty decent emulation station too, all the way up to like wii/gamecube for a few games. you can actually buy used xbox series consoles for good prices too so if you are stuck between buying a whole ass PC or a series x for $300 or whatever, idk some people who just want to play a lot of xbox games and also emulate shit might go for that instead.
