@LoliHat when i was a teenager i would stay at home when my family went on vacations because THAT was my vacation. away from stress/drama, zero expectations, i just got to chill and relax.
@icedquinn @LoliHat for us it meant going a state, maybe two states away to stay in a moderately decent hotel and do some sort of fun things while everyone was forced to wake up and go to bed at a certain time so we could do everything that was planned and the whole process of getting there and going back was always super stressful... just wasn't a fan of the whole thing. being alone or having some friends over with some pizza and uninterrupted gaming was much better.
@icedquinn @LoliHat the only good vacations i had, funny enough, were going to see my grandparents in washington. because we would go up there and stay at their house with their dogs and cats, go over to the lake or wildlife reservation, basically just relax with them. there wasn't any pressure to get stuff done, it was just going to see them and they were really cool people.
@icedquinn @LoliHat THAT extended family. who were barely considered a part of the family. it was my dad's real dad and his wife. really awesome people, i can see why my grandma and him got divorced, he was way too good for her.
