Watching the Silent Hill thing and so far it's just a reprisal of the music from the first game which makes me worry this is another remake

Can't wait for cybil to be some roided freak with a crotch bulge that rescues harry 12 times and at the end he finds out his wife was trying to abort(infanticide) cheryl but harry was the bad guy all along and trying to stop her caused her to die from childbirth. Also the doctor is a nigger and the nurse is asian and the old witch lady is an indian and cheryl is a mulatto despite both parents being white. The creatures will be some generic monsters instead of cheryl's drawings and shit related to harry's most traumatic moments, the school posters won't be generic motivational posters and DARE parodies, they'll be ones that say 'support trans rights' and blm shit. I can picture it now. The story won't make any sense(not that the games didn't have a weird abstract thing going on where you don't follow a clear narrative) and the dialogue will just be cringe lines instead of robots saying script lines to each other

Seriously though, the dialogue in all the Silent Hill games is really bad, it's not natural at all, it's fugging weird like a robot wrote and performed the dialogue. People talk at each other and their responses aren't human but are what a human is supposed to say generally. That always bother me. I guess 3's external monologue was human but that was always a problem with the game too, the protagonists never react right to anything, only specific shit do they wonder is strange but they'll see flying monsters or tortured mutilated bodies and go "I'm not sure but something strange is going on"

If you genuinely wanted to make an impact you'd make a new title in the series. If you respect something and believe it has a lasting legacy and had a great impact, why are you remaking it? That makes no sense. You don't try to replace something you respect, you don't try to recreate something if you want it to be recognized on it's own

This is the final nail in the coffin. The second you see "modernized" is when you know you have to bail. This is confirmed garbage. It won't be an inspired remake like REmake or REmake 2, it's a rehash made for "the world we live in today", the brave new world where men are w*men
