tried playing mw2 splitscreen today

first, we ran into the hurdle that you can't use a ps4 controller on a ps5 if you're playing a ps5 game (even though the game requires no unique features of the dualsense, sony just begging for money)

then there was a whole kerfuffle about trying to find a mouse that would actually work with mw2/ps5. we tried FIVE mice and only one of them fully worked (and that was only after resetting the game)

then the mouse wouldn't work in the menus if you were playing split screen, so i had to change all of my settings logged into my account separately

then we come to find out that my killstreaks and lethal slot are not mapped to anything by default, you have to do that yourself on keyboard

once we get in game, the second screen (mine) has all sorts of lighting issues

then i finally get to customize my loadout only to find that clicking on the gunsmith option for attachments just boots us out to the main menu and erases our loadouts, also it completely mutes the game, so we have to restart the game again

what a fucking shitshow. how do you release something this full of bugs for $70? some of these bugs, like lighting being fucked in splitscreen, have existed for nearly a decade.
