@WashedOutGundamPilot "you play a female character in a video game so you're secretly trans! just come out of the closet already!"
nah i just like the way she looks
@beardalaxy That’s the type 3 or something. There are people that see themselves as like, a spirit inhabiting the character, and there are some that view it as an action figure dancing around for their amusement. The former will never understand the latter.
@Xeraser @WashedOutGundamPilot i think most guys who play male characters are either afraid of being made fun of for playing a female character, or they're just looking to self-insert. that's why baldur's gate 3 has a vast majority of players playing a white human male.
i did that for a long time too, just made myself in every game, but when i played PSO2 i was trying to get my preferred stats, back when gender/race mattered for stats, so playing a cyborg female was the way to go. after that i opened up to not playing myself in games anymore, especially because most games have really shitty options when it comes to beards.
@WashedOutGundamPilot @Xeraser haha, i think the first time i ever chose a female character was pokemon emerald. i had already played the game once as a male character, but i lost the cartridge and when i got a new one i played female just to make it different.
Also Brendan is either easier or has less dialogue than May, can't remember which
