@Terry america has been made of 50 states for 60 years. there are people alive right now who remember a united states with less than 50 of them.
i've recently been thinking that the usa would probably be better off split up in some way, whether that's groups of states becoming sovereign nations or the states themselves. the federal government has grown too strong and some states have way too much of a say over said federal government.

The states were meant to be mostly autonomous, but the federal government ruined that. Any proposed solution has to induce a way to stop that from happening again.
