@beardalaxy @beardalaxy @dirb when I switched to fibre and cancelled Comcast to cancel they said in the new area they could offer me gigabit and since I already owned my own modem it'd only be $80/mo (:att: was only going to be $70/mo with the equipment rental and they were giving me HBO plus $300 in Visa gift cards for signing up and $20/mo off of my cellphone bill if I switched to them for wireless).

I asked if it'd be gigabit upload too and the guy said it'd only be 35/Mbps. I told him :att: was going to give me gigabit upload too and the guy tried to argue with me that it wasn't going to be gigabit.

I got :att: and it was gigabit upload and download. I averaged around 30 TB of bandwidth a month. Comcast used to charge me if I went over 1.2 TB. The unlimited add-on would have doubled my bill.

Back in the beginning of November the government wanted to subsidize my internet because I'm crippled so now it's only $40/mo.
