i've been slackin on mentioning it but star fox's 30th anniversary was 2 days ago.

star fox 64 released 1 year after i was born and it's been with me this whole time. i really wish nintendo treated this series better because i love it so much.

when i was a kid i would pretend i was in an arwing and "fly" around my front yard. for a writing assignment in elementary school i wrote an entire walkthrough for 64 from memory. i always thought it would be cool to have a star fox tattoo and finally got one when i was 19. every year on my birthday, i replay star fox 64, and it hits me harder every time. when that leak came out with all of the uncompressed voice lines and music i'll admit i teared up... it was like viewing my childhood in HD.

words can't really describe how much this game means to me and how much it shaped my life, even though that sounds really stupid.

godspeed, star fox.
