Damn, spent about 5 hours working on the D&D campaign tonight. No idea how far my players will get in it because there are quite a few conditionals. Could be 2 hours or 2 sessions.

@beardalaxy :ablobcatderpy: its best to not get too attached to things. just build up a warehouse of concepts and field them as opportunity arises.

@icedquinn essentially, they're on a 3-day journey to a red dragon lair so I've gotta have stuff to do in that 3 days, but the players could also just not give a shit about any of it and continue on their way. So I got up to when they meet the red dragon, basically xD didn't want to make a battle arena for it quite yet, we'll see what they do when they get there.

I know that for most campaigns, having a little thing that happens during travel and then getting to the destination is the preferred method usually. This one is all about exploring an ancient land and uncovering its secrets though, and there are next to no NPCs for social encounters, so I have had to try to make the actual adventure as interesting as possible. It's been a good challenge.
