i'm so surprised that no other developer has made a game that uses the blacklight-style wallhack as an integral part of the gameplay.

every unique shooter these days is a hero shooter. halo infinite is probably the best it gets and that's pretty unfortunate.

@beardalaxy ghost in the shell first assault had some weird stuff. saito had team-wide wall hacks as a special and maeve had this camoflage wall thing you could drop somewhere and people couldn't see through it. was great for doing a little trolling

@icedquinn i remember playing that for a little bit, but there was something about it that really bothered me. i can't remember what, though. maybe something to do with the movement? i do know that i primarily downloaded it because a) i like gits and B) it had the wallhack.

looks like it closed in 2017, so maybe it was just that there weren't a lot of people playing it and lobbies were sparse, with the only people playing being the diehards. i probably played it THAT year.

@beardalaxy yeah and they originally were classless but someone decided to hard pivot the design and it caused a lot of alienation because you would buy guns from gatcha bullshit and then one day you couldn't use your gun anymore because operatives had classes and allowed equipment lists one day.

@icedquinn ewww yikes. nexon doesn't have that good of a history when it comes to monetization shit.

Follow

@icedquinn recently i had a friend saying "DUDE YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THIS NEW GAME, IT'S CALLED The Finals IT LOOKS AWESOME!"

i clicked the trailer he sent, saw that it said nexon, and couldn't take the rest of the trailer seriously because i just know they're going to fuck it up somehow.

@beardalaxy @icedquinn nexon serve only to generate over the top cs 1.6 skins through cs online, that's it
