@rosey as a complete antithesis to the sound of that, but also a generally similar feeling i get listening to it, maybe try giving "weightless" by marconi union a listen.

obviously it's a completely different kind of music, but it's still got this weird empty vibe to it. the albums have contrasting sounds, but they both kind of feel like they weren't made by a human.

idk if merzbow intends for his music to be relaxing or what, but i interpret it as being kind of fitting into the atmospheric genre in a weird way.

@beardalaxy merzbow plays to pretty packed concerts and the vids are consistently great, he just stands there tuning knobs or staring at his macbook the whole time like the crowd isn't even there
i'm digging this marconi union track though
if you want something kinda smack in the middle give monoliths & dimensions by sunn o))) a listen, that's a legitimately great album
