@Deplorable_Degenerate @istvan @ChristiJunior @gucciloafers Nintendo at some point around the SNES decided they were just going to completely stop using any religious stuff in their games. OoT V1 having Islamic chants and a symbol for the gerudo looking VAGUELY like the islamic crescent and Star symbol snuck through because they didn't see it as being such at first, then quickly found out in testing when some people noticed the connection. The V1 carts were already produced so they couldn't do much about that, but the game was actually patched before the official release date ever happened. Same kind of story with the red blood turning to green. There was never any actual outrage about it, Nintendo just internally thought they shouldn't use it.
But yeah, you'll never see a star of david, a cross, a pentagram, or anything like that in a Nintendo game because of that policy. I'm totally fine with that tbh. It would be interesting to see a world where Link was still a Christian Knight, but even then I think it was probably done just because they thought it looked cool, evangelion-style.
