@mangeurdenuage they’re also clamping down on adblock users from what I’ve heard. That being said, haven’t gotten the popup yet, so idk.
Something tells me that this is going to be a massive money hole for them and they’ll quickly realize (again) that defeating ad blockers is a fight they simply can’t win.
Like that time f*cebook spent like a billion dollars developing some super ad that the blockers couldn’t detect and they added a filter for it in less than 24 hours.
@mangeurdenuage @VD15 I haven't got the ad popup thing either. Maybe it's because I'm using brave, and YouTube is only looking to see if an extension that blocks ads is installed rather than something built into the browser itself? I rarely get pop-ups like that, and even if I do I can always just block the popup anyway lol.
Twitch has found a way around adblockers pretty damn well though, there are some extensions that exist to just not show the ads and pause the stream until they're done showing, or some that use the mini player mixed with the audio stream to continue playing but it degrades the quality significantly. The best way to get around ads on twitch is still to just VPN to Poland.
