@beardalaxy @goodthinking it wont work if you live in a city, but if you go out into nature you become able to communicate like a human being. there is something genuinely unnatural about cities that i cannot describe. it's a concrete jungle, a wilderness devoid of nature.
@jeff @goodthinking the only people I've ever been able to convince of any viewpoint of mine that didn't already mostly agree are my irl friends. Even then it can be tricky lol. Definitely takes time, which you don't have on the internet.
@beardalaxy @goodthinking the purpose of these threads are not to convince the one you are interacting with. you are convincing the readers who discover it later that lurk, for years to come.
@jeff @goodthinking I guess that's fair. By just being a pillar you can bring over some people who are on the fence or too scared to stand up for themselves because they don't think they have the right opinion.
