I'm trying to be more okay with the Christians .. I still have some conservative friends, my sister is still a fundie, and even most of the alt media (Adam Curry on NoAgenda, Alex Jones, Naomi Wolf, Steven Crowder) seem to have embraced Jesus and non-fundamentalist Christianity (well except for Crowder; always been evangelical and simultaneously been too crude for most Christians).
People are trying to grasp on to something, and I do think concrete morality requires a belief system (and LGBTQ-ism is a new believe system for sure). At the same time, I doubt I'll ever believe in Jesus and the Saints and all the Prophets again. There are many people in the center/independent/right that are not religious ... it will be interest to see what comes about in the next few decades. I do not think Christianity will go away, but it also won't maintain the dominance it once had.
