so as far as demos go that was short as shit and didn't really provide much other than a small little engine preview. no gameplay other than walking around and it was only like 5 minutes. and this thing was 18gb for some reason, which i'm guessing is the full size of the actual game.

for being an engine preview, i certainly wasn't impressed. there was stutter every time you walked into a new room or a new entity appeared on screen, and none of the visual settings could actually be turned off, only lowered in quality. that means that three of my most hated "features," being lens flare/screen space reflections/motion blur, are impossible to get rid of. the anti aliasing here is also horrendous at every quality setting, with very bad and noticeable ghosting artifacts any time something moves.

stay away from this one until those things are ironed out. if they are ever ironed out.

it seems that a lot of people share these complaints over on the steam discussion board and the community manager is forwarding it all to the devs, so hopefully they can be addressed by the time the game fully releases.
