Following @beardalaxy 's hint, I tried other ways to get through the Lost Woods, but nothing worked. I then thought maybe he meant there's a cave to get in through, so I started walking around the coast looking at the island. That's when I found a chasm and tried to climb down it.

Link slipped, fell and died. And I had no idea the chasms were that deep.

But later, I found a second chasm and tried the same!

Link slipped and fell.

But to my surprise, he didn't die 'cause there was water at the bottom! This place is huge! There's an entire THIRD map down there! :0060:

I had to stop because I just keep advancing and it doesn't end. Found real BotW weapons that aren't broken, held by spirit dudes. Enemies are made of Ganon poop and take away maximum hearts; but there are these giant roots that restore them AND they give you a map that actually works, unlike those useless towers at the surface. Amazin'! :jlp:

I have over 100 zonaite too, so when I come back, I can go to that robot and see what this does.

And there's these blue Poe spirits. That explains the weird statue at Lookout Landing. I also have over 100 'cause I suspect I'm gonna need a lot of them to do whatever these do.

@rasterman you don't need 100 zonaite, you need 100 of something else I can't remember what it's called. You take zonaite to the construct in the great sky island for him to turn into those things, and then once you get 100 of those you can get 1 battery chunk, each battery has 3 chunks in. I know it's confusing and stupid, and you can only turn zonaite into 10 of those things you need every day so you have to go back all the time.

The depths has a shit ton of zonaite in it though thankfully.

@beardalaxy Oh. I don't know if those are good or bad news.

I made it out of the depths. Right when I got in, I found a bit of cave ceiling near a wall that I could've used with Ascend; but I just got there. Then, after activating 3 or 4 of those light roots, I wanted to GTFO and ended up finding a stone building that seems intended for Link to use Ascend on it. I got back to Eldin near the sword glyph.

Profitable! I think I saw a robot that does the zonaite conversion on land. I think it was near the Lookout Landing base on top of one of those stones that fell.

@rasterman lookout landing guy unfortunately doesn't convert zonaite, he just takes the other thing and turns it into battery meter chunks. the only place i've seen to convert zonaite is on the great sky island, which sucks. i'd highly recommend going through josha and robbie's side quests so that you can get the travel medallion (portable fast travel) and stick it up there.
