@rasterman i still think goty will likely go to starfield. if it went to baldur's gate that would be really weird considering it's been in early access for at least a couple years now. i don't think it's fair for those kinds of games to get goty.

i say starfield will likely take goty because as long as it isn't a steaming pile of shit people will probably eat it up and you'll have some recency bias there.

i don't necessarily think zelda is goty material either though, i mean it's really good but damn that story is fucking bad. the core gameplay hard carries it. compare it to something like elden ring... i don't even like souls games but i think elden ring is probably a better game objectively speaking.

i wouldn't be surprised if baldur's gate is actually the better game, though i haven't played it yet. just because it has bear sex doesn't mean it isn't objectively a game with better mechanics and a better story with more meaningful content for its long runtime. haven't played it so i don't know, but man i haven't even beaten zelda yet and it really wore me out.
