i saw someone going mental over mew2king referring to sheik with non-binary pronouns way back in the early 2000s, but in reality he's just autistic and didn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone that didn't already know that sheik was zelda even though basically everyone knew by then (she fucking transforms IN MELEE lol)
