@HebeHimmlerReborn@cunnyborea.space @noyoushutthefuckupdad because whenever I press a button, whatever I just tried takes so long to come out that I press it again and end up doing it twice because the buffer window is also too large. Bloodborne is the worst offender because it's only on Playstation where the frame time is very inconsistent and the game only runs at 30fps, so that alone makes it feel super clunky. All of the games on console have those issues, except maybe Elden Ring depending on where you play it. Dark Souls also has Blight Town which is a meme due to how shitty it runs, like did they really think it was okay to ship the game like that and then NEVER fix it? For a very long time, the PC controls for the games was absolute dog shit from what I've heard too.
Lies of P was the best one I've tried and I can see myself maybe playing it more, if I didn't have other games to play, but it still has the same issue with things coming out way too slowly.
I get they are trying to make the combat more realistic or whatever, but that doesn't equate to something being fun imo. I like rhythm, racing, and beat em up games. I like things to be quick and responsive, and soulslike games are not that. Even Ocarina of Time running at 20fps is a better experience because your inputs directly translate to what's on screen.
If people like it that's fine with me. I think the lore and world building is cool. Not a huge fan of the art direction but it's fine. It's not that the games are too hard either, because I can beat DmC on Hell and Hell difficulty you know? I just really hate the way they play and some of it even seems like feaux difficulty at times.
