When receiving my order and saying the usual “thanks so much” and “have a good day”,s, I started to mouth “lo-“ and immediately turned my my head forward, eyes wide, and clasped my hand over my mouth

@RehnSturm256 When I was 19 I had clogged ears and my mom took me to the doctors to see if they could clean em. The doc was this 40something woman. She put this large apron around me to keep me from getting wet because she was gonna spray me ears with a high-pressure spray bottle. It didn't work unfortunately.
She said sorry that's all I can do and reached around to take off the apron. And I thought she was hugging me so I hugged her back. Then I felt her unclip the apron and realized how badly I just fucked up. I probably quickly removed my hands and neither of us brought it up and I left.

I've seen memes that are all like "normalize hugging the doctor" but it's obviously in jest. Luckily it doesn't haunt me and it's a story I like telling.
