For those that don't know, and don't want to watch the video or something, in the simplest explanation this is not like decompilation, but more of a mix between a compatibility layer (like Steam Proton) and RTX Remix. It'll let you play N64 games on PC without an emulator, and with enhancements such as higher frame rates, widescreen, and ray tracing! All without fiddling with plugins. Very good news!
This is significantly harder to get working on other games than I thought. The instructions say you need an ELF file for the metadata but I can't find anywhere how you're actually supposed to get that from the game. Tried asking on some decomp servers but they're all more focused on decomp, naturally. I wanna learn how to do this stuff but man, there really are very little resources out there... It feels like something you just kind of have to know.
I did find a way to convert a z64 file to an ELF but I'm unsure if that's what I actually need to do. Gotta just fiddle with it myself I guess.
