@theorytoe the most realistic take i've heard on this to date is that those towers were full of asbestos, some guy bought them a few months prior and specifically had it insured against terrorism.

after all this time

it was just insurance fraud.
@icedquinn @theorytoe yeah Larry "lucky" Silverstein not only got terrorist attack insurance but tried to get multiple payments (one for each building) from the insurance companies. Amazing the level of thinking of that whole tribe...
Oh as a side note everyone in NYC at the time got a lung full of asbestos when they brought down the buildings and kept getting it for days (that dust had to land somewhere only for it to get kicked up by cars / wind).
@bronze @icedquinn @theorytoe He also bought the buildings for dirt cheap because they were all but condemned. They needed completely renovated to remove the asbestos in them, which would have cost an obscene amount of money and in reality meant that the buildings needed demolished (also really expensive) and needed a new tower built in its place ($$$).
Fortunately, Larry was lucky enough to get a 99 year contract on the location at pennies on the dollar, got demolition carried out for free, and had various government agencies (taxpayers) foot most of the bill for the construction of 1WTC. Way to go Larry!
He also won a lawsuit for 6 billion dollars in insurance money, 3 for each tower.
you mean the missile?

The wingspan of the plan was 140 ft or so (don't remember exactly, probably more like 160)

The gap on that building is 90ft.

@Xenophon @theorytoe @icedquinn @PodunkPotato @bronze @ForbiddenDreamer I can't remember the full details, but didn't it also just so happen to hit where there were some notable documents being stored?

I dont believe that is accurate. Just some schizo idea. That side of the pentagon was supposedly under remodeling.
