my shoulder and knee where i smacked against the pavement already needed their bandages changed. reapplied alcohol and new bandages and holy SHIT does it sting. that shit is probably gonna keep me awake tonight man. hopefully i'm not limping around for my shift on wednesday xD
Don't apply alcohol to a wound, it will take much longer to heal, friend.
@mesmer oh, are you not supposed to do that? i thought that helped make sure it didn't get infected.
Initial cleaning and debriding, maybe (its recommended to not use it on the wound itself even then).
After its clean, keeping it covered with a bandage and a thin layer of vaseline/antiseptic ointment and changing dressing every day is the play.
Things like hydrogen peroxide and alcohol damage the tissue trying to grow back.
