you think the NPC meme is just a joke, but it's really not. there are people out there who are LITERALLY NPCs.
it rained today and i had to endure my coworker telling EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER THE SAME THING EXACTLY LIKE AN NPC WOULD!
"sure is wet outside today"
"it's good weather for frogs!"
"my aunt says that all the time."
@icedquinn unless a customer talks to me, i'll only give greetings and compliments. i certainly don't repeat the same exact specific story every single time someone walks up to my register.
i get that obviously a new customer hasn't heard it, but telling it over and over again just like an NPC would is just crazy to me. like, no variation.
the greatest part is that even after it stopped raining and it dried up, the dude STILL KEPT SAYING IT.
@beardalaxy NPCs pick their dialogue randomly from a pool. If he repeats the same thing exactly the same you might be dealing with a skinwalker
