Huh, honestly training cats doesn't seem to be that hard. It just takes patience and perseverance. Part of the trick is really just gaslighting the cat to make them think like it's their idea.
You also can't be too lenient cats because cats love to push buttons and do things they know they aren't supposed to do just to see if they can get away with it.
I've never used a spray bottle.
The biggest thing is to just get close to the cat so there is mutual respect. That's actually the secret to training a cat; getting respect from the cat.

@sun @j cornbread is a very good cat. but jimmy is also spittin facts. dogs are super willing to be happy-go-lucky and can be trained pretty easily, but cats hold grudges and are vindictive little assholes sometimes lol, which makes it sweeter when they like you because you know you have actually built that up.
i want a cat again but i'm allergic to them and i would feel really bad not letting it sleep with me ;_; all the cats i've had have been roommates' so they stay out of my room and i just say hi to them and wash my hands after petting/playing, but the few times i've slept with them it's been rough.

Big same but we live in the future now so I buy a bottle of these for $13 from :walmart: and as long as I take one every 24-48 hours I'm fine and have no issues.

I'd be fucked without it which is why I keep at least a year supply of it on hand. A year supply costs less than $20 and it has a shelf life of 10+ years (ignore the expectation date on most medications).
But yeah, that's my secret to owning a cat whilst being allergic to cats.
